Suzhou

Sùzhòu is the most famous attraction in the Province of Jiangsu. Sùzhòu is one of the oldest towns in the Yangzi basin dating back some 2,500 years. Famed for its silk production centre, its beautiful gardens and canals. The Imperial Canal is one of many canals which flow through the heart of the town giving it the name of “Venice of the East”. From here visitors can take a short cruise to Hangzhou.
The many wonderful gardens gave it another name of “Heaven on Earth” and some of the best to visit are the “Garden of the Master of the Nets”, “Garden of the Canglangting Pavilion”, “Garden of Lingering” and the “Garden of the Politics of the Humble Man”.
